【Event】NTU iNGO Academy Info Session: Alumni Sharing

The second edition of the 2024 NTU iNGO Academy is expanding its scale, with the participation of 15 iNGOs and non-profit organizations focusing on global issues. In addition to retaining the 14-week project internship, 5 introductory courses on NGOs and skills training, 1 organization visit, and Demo Day, the program will also include the "Regional Revitalization and Sustainability Journey," allowing participants to leave Taipei and learn about sustainable development and community reconstruction in different regions.

In addition to the first edition's partners such as Taiwan Digital Diplomacy Assocation-TDDA, Taiwan Aid, The Garden of Hope Foundation, Step 30, One-Forty, Good Neighbors Taiwan, Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience and Innovation - CAPRI, Jane Goodall Institute, Mustard Seed Mission, other organizations have joined, including the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation which is a think tank that focuses on fostering and promoting exchanges between Taiwan and various countries in Asia, Child Welfare League Alliance - Guardians of Children, World Vision Taiwan serving vulnerable children and families, Taiwan Equality Campaign working to eliminate inequality due to gender/sexuality, Judicial Reform Foundation building a trustworthy judiciary, and Médecins Sans Frontières engaging in international medical humanitarian aid.

Alumni also shared their experience in the info session. Tanya Ling Bell (Master's program in Biodiversity International, second year), who interned at the Jane Goodall Institute, shared finding her position and role within the organization and the process of transitioning from initial internship challenges to being hired. Kuan-yun Chern (Department of Business Administration, third year), who interned at the Garden of Hope Foundation, pointed out the unique community cohesion of the iNGO Academy. She highlighted the sharing and exchange with partners interning in different organizations during courses and visits, as well as the assistance provided by NTU OIA, which distinguishes it from other internship opportunities.
